Kindergarten Art
Pumpkins at Night and Color Mixing
In Kindergarten this month we read the book, Big Pumpkin by Erica Silverman. The students drew their very own big pumpkins using oil pastel. Then, they mixed the colors red and yellow to paint their pumpkins orange. After cutting them out and gluing them to black paper, they added leaves, vines, and a moon. I loved how these turned out!
International Dot Day Project
Kindergarten worked hard on their line dot sculptures!
They learned how they could use paper strips as lines, and make them come off their page in 3D!
During the last few classes Kindergartners learned about the element of art: Line. They learned how to paint them, and a special friend of mine, Larry the Line Snake taught them all about Lines.
